Revanth Reddy removed from posts
Hyderabad: TD national president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday removed the party’s TS MLA A. Revanth Reddy from the posts of TS TD working president and Leader of Legislature Party. This was communicated to TS TD president L. Ramana.
In a statement, Mr Ramana said he spoke to Mr Naidu, who is presently in London, and on his directions, Mr Reddy was removed from the two party posts.
Mr Ramana also announced that there will be joint meeting of TD and BJP legislators and leaders on Thursday at a private hotel in the city where they will chalk out a strategy for the forthcoming Assembly session. Mr Reddy would be invited to the meeting since he continues to represent the party in the TS Assembly.
The TS TD president also made it clear that Mr Reddy could no longer convene the Legislature Party meeting as decided by Mr Naidu.
However, Mr Reddy told the media that he would go ahead with the TDLP meeting on Thursday in Assembly premises and no one can interfere in the affairs of Legislature Party of which he is the Leader.
In his media statement, Mr Ramana said that there was severe damage to the party in TS due to Mr Reddy’s meetings with Congress leaders.
