TPCC may not take harsh action on Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy

Mr Reddy said that he spoke to AICC in-charge in TS Mr R.C. Khuntia and gave a clarification about his remarks.

Hyderabad: The TPCC is not likely to take any harsh decision against its MLC Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy. The Disciplinary Committee may end this issue by giving him a serious warning. The TPCC had issued a showcase notice to Mr Reddy asking for an explanation for his sharp remarks on the new committees formed by the party.

The committee was not satisfied with the reply of Mr Reddy and issued another notice asking an explanation within 24 hours which ended on Tuesday. But he did not respond to the second showcase notice.

Mr Reddy said that he spoke to AICC in-charge in TS Mr R.C. Khuntia and gave a clarification about his remarks.

Meanwhile, Congress senior leaders Mr K. Jana Reddy, Mr Shabbier Ali, Mr T. Jeevan Reddy, Mr Komati Reddy, Mr Venkata Reddy and others asked the TPCC Disciplinary Committee not to take any harsh decision against Rajagopal Reddy since he had given an explanation to Mr Khuntia. The committee will meet on Wednesday to take a final view on this issue.

Meanwhile, sources revealed that Mr. Raja Gopal Reddy is considering contesting from Munugodu assembly constituency as an independent candidate if Congress suspends him from the party.
