Cops acting like BRS goons, will face music later: BJP leader
Hyderabad: The BJP on Friday warned the Telangana police not to “act like agents and BRS members wearing pink shirts,” and that anyone from the police who acts in this manner will face “action and punishment.”
BJP state general secretary G Premender Reddy, addressing a press conference, said police officials were joining hands with BRS “goondas to attack common people and BJP workers and leaders” and demanded an immediate stop to the trend.
Instead of taking action against culprits from the BRS and the AIMIM who are involved in attacks against women, the police were targeting BJP workers who were taking part in peaceful protests. “We condemn such behaviour by the police,” he said.
Premender Reddy said senior BJP leaders including Dr K. Laxman, A.P. Jithender Reddy and P. Muralidhar Rao were arrested during protests at district collectorates demanding that the government implement the farm loan waiver promise and provide 2BHK houses to the poor.
