BJP Leaders to up the ante on KLIS

Kaleshwaram is really a matter of wonder as the cost of Rs 30,000 crore has reached Rs 80,000: Ramachandra Rao.

Hyderabad: State BJP leaders under instructions from the high command have decided to strategically intensify their attack on the TRS government by demanding CBI and judicial inquiries into irrigation projects and power purchase agreements.

A couple of days ago, BJP state president Dr K. Laxman demanded that the CBI probe power purchase agreements, leading to a war of words with TS Transco and Genco CMD D. Prabhakar Rao.

On Sunday, BJP former minister Dharma Rao questioned Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for the increase in the cost of the Kaleshwaram project. “Beware of spending public money. Otherwise you may also have to face the consequences like P. Chidambaram. Scams happening in his regime will be investigated.”

BJP senior leader and MLC N. Ramachandra Rao said, “Kaleshwaram is really a matter of wonder as the cost of Rs 30,000 crore has reached Rs 80,000. The project should be probed.”
