TS BJP sets up LED screens for PM address to farmers

HYDERABAD: Taking the message that the Narendra Modi government is farmer friendly, the Telangana BJP has decided that it will take an address by the Prime Minister on July 27 to farmers in the country to all farmers in the state.

The party has decided to set up TVs and LED screens at all the fertiliser shops, around 5,000 of them, in the state so farmers can watch Modi’s speech. The BJP in Telangana has been focusing on the farmer and agriculture-friendly administration of the Modi government while at the same time attacking the BRS government for not keeping its promise of waiving farm loans up to ₹1 lakh, and not paying Rythu Bandhu instalments to all farmers.

The Telangana BJP, and particularly its new party president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, had been stressing for long that the Modi government provides various subsidies to farmers, along with direct financial aid through the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme totalling around ₹24,000 a year.

Modi’s address will yet again make it clear that it is only the BJP that can provide a government that truly cares about agriculture, farmers, and their incomes which have increased with the Centre hiking the minimum support prices for various crops, a party leader explained.
