Kavita, KT Rama Rao confident of TRS winning 100 seats
Hyderabad: IT minister K.T. Rama Rao and Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha on Monday said leaders from other parties were vying to join the TRS, believing that they could work for the people only under the leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
They said the TRS was ready for early elections as announced by Mr Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday, and the party would win over 100 Assembly seats comfortably.
They were addressing a meeting at Telangana Bhavan after TS TD organising secretary Mohan Reddy along with representatives of rice millers’ associations from all 31 districts joined the TRS.
Mr Rama Rao said, “What successive governments could not achieve in 60 years, the TRS government could achieve in four.”
He said the 24x7 power supply to farmers, irrigation projects, Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya were the major achievements of Mr Chandraekhar Rao.
“If I have to list all the achievements of the TRS government, it would take two hours and I don’t want to take much time,” he said.
Ms Kavitha said Nizamabad was the first district to benefit after the state was formed. “The TRS government restored the Singur project link to Nizamabad, which was cut by rulers in undivided AP. Because of this lakhs of acres in Nizamabad district got irrigation,” she said.
