KOZHIKODE: Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala has alleged that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has been behaving like Prime Minister Narendra Modi ever since he met him in Delhi after assuming office. "Like Mr Modi, Mr Vijayan also avoids the media and does not tell the people about the cabinet decisions," Mr Chennithala told reporters at the Press Club here on Saturday.
"The Governor's address lacks vision. According to indications, Kerala will be crowded with new bars. The government is planning to make the state a tipplers' paradise. Only the CPM workers are getting justice under Mr Pinarayi's police.
“The people are worried over the situation after one month's rule by the LDF government. The UDF will remain a vigilant Opposition," said Mr Ramesh. He asked the chief minister to withdraw his comments on the Mullaperiyar issue. Even internationally, dams aged over 100 years were being decommissioned. While settling deals with Tamil Nadu, the interests of the state should be given priority, he said.
