BRS has no moral right to talk: BJP

HYDERABAD: Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Dr K. Laxman on Thursday said all those who were criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the plans to inaugurate the new Parliament House were doing so as they are not able to digest his successes and governance that has made India a country to reckon with in the world.

In a statement, Dr Laxman said, “Back in 1978, Indira Gandhi, as the Prime Minister, inaugurated the Parliament Annexe building, and later Rajiv Gandhi, when he was Prime Minister, inaugurated the Parliament library. Some say it should be done by the President, some say the Speaker. This is nothing but the single point agenda of opposition parties opposing Modi for the sake of doing so.”

He said that the BRS in Telangana has no moral right to talk about the Parliament inauguration after ignoring Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan when the new Secretariat complex was inaugurated recently. “The state did not even extend an invitation to her, what BRS is doing is like the devil quoting the scriptures,” he said.
