Siddaramaiah forcing me to quit: Adagur H Vishwanath

Vishwanath said, “I have never said that I will quit the Congress party. I am still in the party. Yet, in order to ensure that I quit.

Mysuru: Veteran Congress leader Adagur H. Vishwanath, who is upset over not being invited for the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee Mysuru divisional level meeting held on Wednesday, said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was conspiring to create an atmosphere to ensure he quits the Congress.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Thursday, Vishwanath said, “Mysuru district and the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee are not pledged with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. When I asked KPCC president Dr G. Parameshwar why he was not invited to the KPCC meeting on Wednesday, he said matters related to Mysuru are left to the Chief Minister. What does that mean? What is K.C. Venugopal (AICC general secretary) who has come to organise the party in the state doing? I am not being invited for any of the KPCC meetings. Instructions have also been issued that there should not be any discussion about me in any party meeting,” Vishwanath claimed.

Vishwanath said, “I have never said that I will quit the Congress party. I am still in the party. Yet, in order to ensure that I quit, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is conspiring and creating a situation to force me to do it,”
