MK Stalin accuses Modi of mediating between O Panneerselvam, Tamil Nadu CM
CHENNAI: Alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is indulging in activities similar to kattapanchayat between the two factions of the AIADMK, Leader of Opposition M.K. Stalin on Thursday said Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palanisami and former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam met the Prime Minister for ‘political reasons’.
“The Prime Minister is doing a good job for breaking the AIADMK and merge the broken party”, he told the media here, after inspecting the desilting of ponds by the DMK at Sholinga-
nallur.
Palanisami’s name is found as the first one in the list of ministers who helped for distribution of money for voters for the RK Nagar bypoll, but Modi had met him. Stalin said.
The Prime Minister had also met Panneerselvam who had close links with sand baron Shekar Reddy. But, Modi is refusing to meet farmers, who are the backbone of the country, Stalin charged.
