Why KCR silent on Shah's remarks, asks Bhatti

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao kept silent and did not dare to oppose Union home minister Amit Shah's anti-secular sentiments due to his government's wrongdoings and corruption by the BRS leaders, alleged CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.

During a press conference at Hanamkonda on Tuesday during his padayatra, Bhatti claimed that the fact that the CM did not denounce Amit Shah's remarks about Muslims demonstrated how BRS had compromised with the BJP in the past whenever it was necessary to call attention to the leaders of the party's unconstitutional statements.

“Why didn't KCR, who increased the Muslim minority reservation from the 4 per cent provided by the Congress government to 12 per cent, oppose Amit Shah's remarks to scrap reservations for Muslim minorities,” he asked.

Further, he demanded that the Centre undertake a new caste census at the earliest, and that the state government bring legislation for the BC sub-plan, similar to the SC and ST sub-plans.
