Why ‘wannabe kingmaker’ not contesting, says Ram Madhav

Ram Madhav said that political fronts cannot be formed with breakfast and lunch politics.

Hyderabad: BJP general secretary Ram Madhav asked why Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was not contesting the Lok Sabha elections when he was repeatedly claiming that he would become a kingmaker at the Centre after the polls.

He said that political fronts cannot be formed with breakfast and lunch politics. He was speaking with mediapersons after Mahbubnagar Lok Sabha BJP candidate D.K. Aruna filed her nomination papers.

Mr Madhav alleged that Mr Rao’s rule was more totalitarian than that of the Nizam rule and was riddled with corruption. He alleged that Mr Rao was damaging the Opposition parties. He said Mahbubnagar TRS MP A.P. Jithender Reddy was denied a ticket only to stop his growth in politics.

Mr Rao had sidelined his own relative (Harish Rao) for getting a bigger margin of victory than him in the Assembly polls. He said AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was acting “over-smart” and he would not win the elections in AP.

Mr Madhav said the BJP would register a huge victory in the general elections and Prime Minister Narendra Modi would have a second term.
