Hyderabad: Former minister and MLA T. Harish Rao found a spot in the list of TRS star campaigners on Monday. The TRS submitted the list to Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar requesting him to include Mr Harish Rao in the star campaigners list in the place of MP J. Santosh Kumar.
The TRS had submitted the names of 20 leaders as star campaigners including Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and ministers and party leaders but not Mr Harish Rao.
Sources said the TRS leadership has got negative feedback from the party cadre regarding this. So as not to create a controversy when the leadership was focused on the Lok Sabha elections, the TRS leadership has decided to induct Mr Harish Rao as a star campaigner.
On Mr Chandrasekhar Rao’s directions, TRS general secretary M. Srinivas Reddy in a letter to Chief Electoral officer Rajat Kumar asked for a vehicle permission pass in the name of Mr Harish Rao in place of Mr Santosh Kumar.
