Hyderabad: The total number of voters in the state reached 2,96,97,279 at the end of the deadline to include new names to the electoral list. Telangana chief electoral officer Rajat Kumar released the final electoral list on Monday. He said about 6.52 lakh new voters had enrolled their names.
Hyderabad district stood on top with the highest number of voters at 41,77,703 and Wanaparthy district had the least number of voters at 2,47,419. Male voters constituted 1,49,19,751, female voters 1,47,76,024 and third gender voters 1,504. There are 6,52,744 voters in the age group of 18 and 19 years.
Mr Kumar said that the Central Electoral Office had received the lists of star campaigners from the TRS, Congress, MIM and other parties, The EC would will issue passes to all of them, he said.
