Vijayawada: City police on Friday booked activists of All India Students Federation for allegedly thrashing an activist of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha at the meeting of JNU Students’ Union President Kanhaiya Kumar in the city on Friday.
According to police, BJYM leader Behara Anil Kumar lodged complaint against members of AISF who organised the meeting in which Kanhaiya Kumar took part. The meeting stirred controversy as an activist of BJYM was allegedly thrashed by a mob outside the hall of meeting.
Case under Section 323, 324 and 506 was registered against All India Students Federation general secretary N. Lenin Babu and 21 others of the student outfit. However, no persons were nabbed so far.
