Hyderabad: Kosgi police of Narayanpet district booked BRS Kodangal candidate Patnam Narender Reddy and former GHMC Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin for attempt to murder for attacking a youngster early on Saturday.
Narender Reddy, his son Hitesh Reddy and Fasiuddin along with their associates abused the victim, Kura Naresh, 30, and attacked him with sticks and stones, leaving him with severe injuries.
Police said that Naresh, who runs a decoration agency, was returning home at about 1 am on Saturday when the BRS trio accosted him, asked him why he was supporting the Congress, and assaulted him. Naresh alleged that the accused stole his mobile phone, bike key, three-tola gold chain and Rs 20,000 cash.
