KCR encroached commoners' land through Dharani portal: Rahul Gandhi

Rahul also claimed that the Congress had transformed Hyderabad into a IT hub

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reiterated that Telangana elections was a fight between those who support 'doralu' (landlords) and those who want to serve the 'prajalu' (common people).

Addressing a public meeting at Bodhan in Nizamabad district, he alleged that BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao had embezzled Rs 1 lakh crore in the name of Kaleshwaram project. The Congress gave land to the poor but the BRS hookwinked nearly 20 lakh people and stole their land through the Dharani portal. KCR distributed some of those lands to his MLAs, basing on their need, he said.

He warned people not to vote for the BRS as it might snatch away the remaining land from the people, if elected for a third time.

"KCR had asked what did the Congress do for Telangana?" He said that the Congress had built the school and university in which KCR pursued his academics.

Rahul also claimed that the Congress had transformed Hyderabad into a IT hub. "Even the airport from where you fly to other places, the ORR and Metro Rail were all made a reality by the Congress," he said.

"KCR ji, the place to which you claim to be the CM is itself carved by the Congress, with the help of the natives in the state," he said.

The Congress leader reminded that all the ministries which are resourceful and moneymaking have been retained by KCR and his family members. "Real estate, liquor and mining ministries have been in KCR's hands only. Had KCR not been corrupt, these ministries would have been given to MLAs not belonging to his family."

"In the Dalit Bandhu scheme, the local MLA had taken commission of Rs 3 lakh from every beneficiary. The money from the SC and ST sub-plan had been diverted by the BRS government." He alleged that Rs 5,500 crore was diverted from the SC sub-plan and Rs 1,500 crore from the ST sub-plan.
Listing out all the six guarantees promised by the Congress, he said that their party was committed for the welfare of women, youth and farmers.

The Congress party deflated BJP's tyres in Telangana, will do so in Delhi too, he said.
