VIJAYAWADA: There seems to be no let up in the war of words between leaders from Telugu Desam and its rebel MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan. TD leaders called Vamsi a backstabber in response to which Vamsi said that it was party chief N Chandrababu Naidu who had betrayed Indira Gandhi, NTR, Harikrishna, Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and others.
In a Twitter post he mentioned “If I had backstabbed the TD, then there is a long list of people Naidu had backstabbed during his long political career.”
Another tweet said "Chandrababu, I may have betrayed trust, but that is only for you. Whereas you are a traitor for all these people, Indira Gandhi, NTR, Harikrishna, Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, PM Modi and union minister Amit Shah”.
Earlier TD leader Paritala Sunitha stated that leaders like Kodali Venkateswara Rao alias Nani and Vallabhaneni Vamsi owed their political growth to the TD and they had become MLAs only because they were given the opportunity by Naidu.
Vamsi reciprocated with “Why wait till the next elections? I am resigning from my Gannavaram seat. Let Nara Lokesh contest the by-elections and let Sunitha lead the campaign. I challenge her to get Lokesh elected from the seat.”
