Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday thanked people of Huzurnagar for overwhelmingly supporting and ensuring an emphatic victory for the ruling party. The TRS chief went on to announce: “I am planning to hold a meeting in the constituency on Saturday to personally thank you all. The Election Commission, however, has to formally accord permission for it.”
Mr Rao said though he wanted to campaign in the constituency, bad weather obstructed him. “We will keep every promise our party has made to voters,” he assured while addressing media at the TRS Bhavan. He went on to say: “This victory is like a tonic for the government; it gives us clarity of purpose.”
Mr Rao ridiculed the BJP for losing its deposit. He pointed out that the result was quite contrary to the tall claims made by the state BJP leaders.
