HYDERABAD: Terming caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao “a scourge” on the people of Telangana state, BJP leader and Andole candidate Babu Mohan said the time had come for the people to defeat the TRS and erase the ill-effects of four-and-a-half years of centralised rule.
Mr Mohan, a Dalit leader, accused Mr Rao of being anti-Dalit and hoped the people would give a strong verdict on December 7.
Opening a party office at Andole on Wednesday, he said that BJP was the only party which had respect for Dalits and was committed to encouraging Dalit leadership in the state, he said.
He called upon the people not to get carried away by the assurances of Mr Rao, and use their conscience in choosing their representatives in the ensuring polls.
