More youngsters from TN districts submit Form 6 seeking inclusion in rolls

Salem in total received more than 25,000 forms and all the western districts received a good response during the special voters camp.

Chennai: More youngsters from Kancheepuram and Coimbatore turned up for the voter rolls enumeration drive on Sunday and in Kancheepuram 19,000 youngsters submitted Form 6 seeking inclusion of their names into the voter rolls.
In Coimbatore and Salem 13,000 youngsters submitted Form 6.

The maximum number of name deletion from voter rolls due to deaths and shifting of residence came from Erode with 9528 people submitting the relevant Form 7.

According to sources with election department, Kanyakumari and Salem saw more people submitting Form 7. About 2,31 lakh people submitted Form 6 seeking inclusion of names in the voters roll.

Salem in total received more than 25,000 forms and all the western districts received a good response during the special voters camp.

As usual Ariyalur, the smallest district received 2450 forms followed by Perambalur and Nilgiris where the response was dull during the special camp.

A total of 3.57 lakh forms has been received on Sunday and this includes forms for application for objecting inclusion of the name of other person, seeking deletion of own name, seeking deletion of other person's name due to death and shifting, sources said.
