Raja Singh dares Owaisi to contest from Goshamahal

HYDERABAD: Raja Singh, the suspended BJP MLA, on Monday challenged AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi to contest the Assembly elections from his (Singh’s) Goshamahal.

"If you do not have the courage, then field your younger brother or anyone else from your party to Goshamahal. I guarantee that you will lose deposit," Singh said in a statement.

Reacting to Owaisi's challenge to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to contest from Hyderabad, Singh said Owaisi was "a snake nurtured by the Congress. Forget challenging Congress, if you have guts, contest from Goshamahal and defeat me."

Singh also attacked Owaisi on the latter's comment about a possible mob-lynching in the Parliament if anyone speaks up. "You should speak with some decorum and respect in and about the Parliament. There are quite a few senile people out there. If they do not understand what you are saying, then you will be their target," he said.

Singh alleged said the MIM previously “sold’ Muslim votes to others, first the Congress and now the BRS. “It is a party of blackmailers, that mints money and remain silent," Singh said.
