No rift in Karnataka Congress, says UT Khader

MANGALURU: Deputy leader of Congress in Karnataka Assembly UT Khader has denied any rift within the Congress in the state. He was speaking to reporters in Mangaluru on Saturday.

“All the leaders in Congress are united. The Padayatra will be a grand success in our state. BJP is misleading the people and trying to defame Congress by spreading rumors. It is the hidden agenda of Congress. As the BJP leaders are unable to speak about the developmental work they are involved in such acts,” he alleged.

He said that the BJP has been doing this for the last two years. “Even if they try for 20 years they cannot divide the unity in Congress,” he declared.

Khader asserted that the party has not left its ideology. “Whether the Congress is in power or not, the ideology remains the same. It does not change from region to region. Other parties might have left their ideologies for power but not Congress. We have seen how BJP had come to power by joining hands with PDP in Jammu and Kashmir. We can give many such examples,” Khader said.
“Some MLAs or MPs might have left Congress. But Congress has never altered its ideology. It was, is, and will remain the same,” he declared.
