Andhra Pradesh Governor launches free distribution of hearing aids
VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan launched free distribution of hearing aids to underprivileged persons suffering from hearing loss at a programme organised by Deen Dayal Sravana Foundation here on Sunday.
The programme was organised to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, a prominent leader in history of Indian politics and co-founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya propounded integral humanism and values of cultural nationalism. He considered it important for the country to develop an indigenous economic model with human beings at the centre, which is different from socialism and capitalism.
Harichandan appreciated the services provided by Deen Dayal Sravana Foundation in mitigating problems of people suffering from hearing loss in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states by distributing free hearing aids to them.
R. Ramanjaneyulu, founder and chairman of Deen Dayal Sravana Foundation, Paturi Nagabhushanam, Ch. Adithya, K. Ranga Rajan, Ch. Mallikharjuna Rao, T. Hanumantha Rao, Shaik Haseena, R. Dharma Pracharak and R.P. Sisodia, special chief secretary to Governor were among those who attended the programme.
