Health minister Laxma Reddy slams Bandaru Dattatreya
Hyderabad: Health minister Laxma Reddy has taken a dig at Member of Parliament Bandaru Dattatreya’s social media campaign against the non-implementation of Ayushman Bharat in Telganana.
The Telangana government had declared that it was not planning to implement the healthcare program of the Central government in the state.
Dr Laxma Reddy, in a statement in a statement issued on Monday, said that Aarogyasri scheme has covered 80 lakh people while the Ayushman Bharat scheme would be covering only 50 lakh people.
Dr Reddy said TS was the role model for free medical treatment where organ transplantation, kidney dialysis centres and also eye screening is being carried out. The social media campaign over the non-implementation of the central scheme has led to this backlash by Mr Reddy who stated that they were severing more families with the Aarogyasri scheme.
