Do you have the meter to meet Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi?: S Suresh Kumar
Bengaluru: A day after CM Siddaramaiah made the ‘meterless’ comment against state BJP president B.S. Yeddyurappa and other party leaders for their failure to meet and convince the PM to allot more funds to the state, BJP spokesperson S Suresh Kumar hit back asking the CM if he had the ‘meter’ to obtain an appointment with AICC President Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi easily, despite being head of the state.
Mr Kumar felt it was below the dignity of the CM to use the word ‘meterless’ against a former CM. The word ‘meter’ is used by underworld dons and anti-social elements and should not have been uttered by the CM, he said.
People know why the cabinet expansion was delayed by many months as both Gandhis were busy. Before becoming MLA, Mr Yeddyurappa fought against bonded labour in Shikaripura and he continued despite the assault on him by followers of the then legislator. Has Mr Siddaramaiah been successful in any agitation? he asked.
“Mr Siddaramaiah You will be a good example to others if good words come from you. If you utter words used by underworld dons, you will set a bad example,” Mr Kumar said.
