KCR turned congress Dogs' into Cats: Palla

WARANGAL: BRS MLC and Rythu Bandhu Samiti chairman Palla Rajeshwar Reddy gave his own twist to why Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had admitted 12 Congress MLAs into the ruling party despite winning the 2018 Assembly elections with a massive majority of 88 seats.

Addressing a BRS party meeting at his native Shodashapalli village in Jangaon district, Rajeshwar Reddy maintained that in case the Congress MLAs had not joined the ruling party, “they would have barked like dogs at the BRS party for no reason.”

“It is to keep them quiet that KCR took them into BRS party and turned them into cats,” he remarked.

The video of the MLC making such comments posted on social media went viral, creating a stir in the political circles.

Significantly, MLC had been vying for the Jangaon ticket against sitting MLA Mutthireddy Yadagiri Reddy. Another MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy too got in the race for Jangaon. Palla Rajeshwar Reddy is continuing to maintain that he will get the ticket from Jangaon.

Though Chandrasekhar Rao has released the list of BRS candidates for the forthcoming assembly elections, he has not yet announced the party nominee from Jangaon.

Meanwhile, MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy has released an audio clip on social media platforms as to how he has been associated with KCR and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao for the past two decades. He said he has remained available to people round the clock as MLC, fulfilling all promises made to people.

“Some leaders are playing cheap politics and damaging the image of the party,” Srinivas Reddy remarked, apparently referring to Palla Rajeshwar Reddy’s remarks. He said healthy politics is important for all. He maintained that whoever CM KCR allows the party ticket from Jangaon, it is the responsibility of all BRS leaders to work hard for the victory of that candidate.

Sitting MLA Mutthireddy Yadagiri Reddy organised a bike rally with as many as 1,500 BRS cadres from Cheriyala to Komuravelli Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple.

Yadagiri Reddy prayed bending on his knees, seeking the presiding deities’ blessings for KCR becoming the Chief Minister for the third consecutive time and getting the party ticket from Jangaon.
