BJP to hold dharna over 2BHK at Indira Park on August 2

HYDERABAD: The BJP will hold a dharna on August 2 at Indira Park demanding immediate distribution of two-bedroom houses to the poor in the state.

The party had earlier planned to hold the protest, led by state BJP chief G. Kishan Reddy, on Tuesday but decided to postpone it on account of the rains. The party has made the distribution of two bedroom houses an important issue in its campaign for the Assembly elections to be held later this year.

On July 20, Kishan Reddy was arrested by the police who refused to let him visit Batasingaram village in Ranga Reddy district to inspect incomplete two-bedroom houses. Following this, the party on Monday held protests at all district collectorates.
