Karnataka rebel MLAs may seek Sai Baba\'s blessings

Mumbai: The rebel Karnataka MLAs, who had been camping in Mumbai before flying to New Delhi to appear before the Supreme Court, may visit the Shirdi temple town in Maharashtra on Friday, sources said.

The MLAs will seek the blessings of Sai Baba before leaving for Bengaluru, sources said. It is not yet clear when they would leave for the Karnataka capital, the sources added. "The MLAs were in Delhi for the last two days and are on their way to Pune.

After spending the night in Pune, they will head towards Shirdi in Ahmednagar district on Friday to seek blessings of Sai Baba on Friday, their coordinator said. Meanwhile, Karnataka Congress rebel MLA Shreemant Patil, who was discharged from the St George Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday evening, has been advised to revisit the hospital on Friday or Saturday for further check-up, medical superintendent Dr Madhukar Gaikwad said.

Patil refused to undergo an angioplasty procedure. He was suffering from hypertension and heart related ailments, he said. Patil is now staying at a luxury hotel in Mumbai, the coordinator said.

The H D Kumaraswamy-led Congress-JDS coalition government in Karnataka was reduced to a minority in the critical trial of strength in the assembly on Tuesday when the confidence motion moved by him was defeated with 99 voting in favour of it and 105 against.
