Mr Mallikarjun along with party activists staged dharna on Sunday at Alipiri in Tirupati, demanding the TTD to reverse the amount.
The TTD had been requesting the Centre to grant exemption from the GST as the institution is service based.
Tirupati: Tirupati City congress president Polakala Mallikarjun faulted the TTD management for sanctioning Rs 4.70 crore for the development works at Seetharama Swamy temple in Jubilee hills, Hyderabad, alleging that it was done the behest of the TD government.
Mr Mallikarjun along with party activists staged dharna on Sunday at Alipiri in Tirupati, demanding the TTD to reverse the amount. “Without the approval of TTD board, how the officers can sanction funds,” he asked.
