Karnataka: HD Kumaraswamy can be Kattappa, not Baahubali, says BJP
Bengaluru: BJP leader and former Lok Sabha MP Tejaswini Gowda hit back at former CM H.D. Kumaraswamy for criticizing BJP state president B.S. Yeddyurappa. Addressing mediapersons here on Wednesday, Tejaswini said, "Kumaraswamy has the habit of making hit and run allegations. To improve his prospects of becoming CM, he has already entered into a tacit understanding with the Congress. As everyone knows, the JD(S) has already struck an alliance with the Congress in BBMP."
"Kumaraswamy is talking about his assets, but we really don't know about his assets and liabilities. Instead of giving details of his assets to the Income Tax department, Kumaraswamy has criticized those who filed the complaint against him, he must understand that the law is equal for all", she stated.
The former MP further stated, "Kumaraswamy cannot become a hero like Baahubali in the blockbuster film, he cannot be a role model like Baahubali, but he could assume the role of Kattappa who kills Baahubali. Kumaraswamy has no moral right to talk about the BJP and its leaders. Yeddyurappa struggled in politics before he reached the top, but you (Kumaraswamy) became the CM overnight", she criticized.
"The BJP has played no role in filing the complaint with the Income Tax department against Kumaraswamy. To divert attention from the case, Kumaraswamy is making baseless allegations. His father and Janata Dal(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda should reprimand his son for engaging in such loose talk", Tejaswini added.
