BJP threatening factions to get support: TNCC

The BJP is trying get the support of the MPs belonging to the both the factions of the AIADMK using threats.

Chennai: TNCC president S. Thirunavukkarasar on Wednesday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is summoning the leaders of rival AIADMK factions to threaten them to get their support in the Presidential elections.
Speaking to the media here, the Congress leader said the meetings of Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palanisami and former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi one after the other is politically motivated.
The BJP is trying get the support of the MPs belonging to the both the factions of the AIADMK using threats.

DMK spokesperson T.K. S. Elangovan too said the meetings are politically motivated and it could be related to getting AIADMK votes in the Presidential polls. Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader Thol. Thirumavalavan said the state government is struggling in the hands of the centre and the centre’s interference in the affairs of the state is undemocratic. The frequent visits of state ministers to Delhi and their fear of the centre is a cause for anguish, he added.
