THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Elaborate security arrangements have been made across the district to ensure event free swearing in ceremony of new Cabinet on Wednesday. A pandal for around 35,000 people have been set up at Central Stadium and four large screens will be set up outside the stadium.
“We anticipate around thousands more people here. Around 1,000 additional cops will be deployed and under five assistant commissioners,” said cpolice commissioner Sparjan Kumar. There will be separate entrance for VIPs including politburo members and the public.
High security will be put in place at Rajbhavan and Secretariat also. Meanwhile Rural SP Shefeen Ahamed said that the suburbs will also be put on high alert to avoid possible fight between political party workers during celebration rallies.
