Mysuru: Mandya Independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh has condemned the attack (stone pelting) on the residence of actor Darshan who is backing her and claimed that JD(S) leaders were indulging such acts worried over the support pouring in for her from different quarters, and the strength she has gained with the support of Darshan and another popular actor Yash.
She was speaking to media persons in Mandya on Sunday. Remarking that power has been misused and there was a lathicharge on fans of Darshan at Somanahalli in KR Pet, she said people stooping to such levels in politics made her feel bad.
“ Wherever I go, the response has been huge. So my rivals have not been able to digest it. That is why they are indulging in such acts,” Ms Sumalatha said.
