Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan offers cash transfer
Vijayawada: Jana Sena chief K. Pawan Kalyan announced on Sunday that if his party came to power in the parliamentary elections, Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,500 would be given as direct cash transfer to women to resolve ration difficulties in AP.
Mr Kalyan addressed several public meetings in various parts of Krishna district on Sunday. At a public meeting in Machili-patnam, he alleged that there was huge corruption in the Telugu Desam government’s plan for Machilipatnam port.
The government has acquired a huge chunk of land because it said the port was to be built on the Singapore model.
This is totally false because Singapore constructed the port on just 1,500 acres with 85 berths, whereas the TD government has acquired 35,000 acres to construct Machilipatnam port with only three berths.
He assured the audience that he would restore Machilipat-nam port to its past glory and acquire land required only for the port's construction.
He alleged that AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was concentrating on the development of Vijayawada and has totally neglected Machilipatnam where the population has decreased due to migration.
