Hyderabad: Ministers Ch Malla Reddy, V. Srinivas Goud and Koppula Eshwar assumed charge at the Secretariat on Sunday amidst vedic chants and pujas.
Mr Eshwar took charge in the presence of ministers Singireddy Niranjan Reddy and Etala Rajender as minister for scheduled castes development, tribal welfare, BC welfare, minority welfare, disabled welfare and senior citizens welfare. Likewise amid fanfare, Mr Reddy, assumed charge as the minister for labour and employment, factories, women and child welfare and skill development .
V. Srinivas Goud, who took charge as the minister for prohibition and excise, sports and youth services, tourism and culture and archaeology said, “I am glad that the chief minister has given me charge of the revenue generating excise department. I will also work hard for developing sports and youth welfare in the state.”
Telangana to up production of neera
Prohibition and excise minister V. Srinivas Goud on Sunday said that the state government has been taking steps to increase the Neera production, which is extracted from toddy trees, in the state.
