Kamal Haasan: No more patience, arise

Second rally in Tiruchy on April 4.

Chennai: Continuing his high-decibel attack on corruption and misadministration, Kamal Haasan on Saturday called upon the people of Tamil Nadu to arise with force as they had waited enough while the state badly slipped on all fronts.

In a video posted on his twitter handle, the Makkal Needhi Maiam chief said it had become common to find boards placed by the roadside warning of ‘danger’ at exposed electric boxes. “If we must have a board like that for the state of Tamil Nadu itself, what should that be? Onlookers, beware! More than the funny people, we have more people who watch fun and do nothing about it. That included me but not anymore. Enough of this; we have watched enough, enough of being patient. Let’s rise in force (pongi ezhuvom)”, said the actor in his video, looking very upset, very angry.

Kamal announced he would address his second rally (after the Madurai inaugural, Feb 22) at Tiruchy on April 4. It would be “as big as the Madurai meeting”, he said and asked his functionaries and followers to “follow the rules of law enforcers and not create any public inconvenience during the party meetings and other gatherings”.
