Bengaluru: An audio recording of a former personal assistant of senior BJP leader, K.S. Eshwarappa allegedly plotting to defeat the BJP in the coming elections through his proposed film, ‘Shobha Rajakiya’, and requesting an aide of CM Siddaramaiah to invest Rs 3 crore in it went viral on Saturday.
The film will reportedly star actors Prakash Raj and Suman Ranganath. Vinay, the former PA of the senior BJP leader, is allegedly heard saying in the recording that should the film hit the screens a week before the elections, it would cause 300 percent damage to the BJP and its state president, Yeddyurappa.
Besides talking of the film, Mr. Vinay is allegedly heard promising the other man that he would sit in dharna before the BJP office along with his wife for the injustice done to him by Mr Yeddyurappa. “My dharna and film will help CM Siddaramaiah retain power,” Vinay is quoted as saying in the recording. The following are excerpts from the recorded conversation. Vinay is heard starting the conversation saying, “Listen, I have experience in politics and media. If you give good information to them, they will be with you. As you have concern for them. I don’t have anything to gain from this, but you will be benefited and Sir (read Siddaramaiah) will be benefited. This is the first ste.”
He allegedlyadds, “Let the nation be robbed I don’t care. I have done a good story. People will never vote for them (read BJP) if they watch this movie. Prakash Raj and Suman Ranganath are in the lead roles. I am going to release it in April. Once it is finished and released in April, then they (BJP) will be finished.” Meanwhile, Mr Eshwarappa told the media that the party could take any action against his former PA as he had already sacked him. “I have nothing to do with him. It is left to the party to take action against Vinay,” he added.
