BJP to prepare charge-sheet against YSRC rule: Muraleedharan

KAKINADA: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will prepare a charge-sheet exposing corruption within the YSRC government and highlighting its misrule, union minister of state for external affairs V. Muralidharan declared.

His was addressing a meeting of the BJP state executive body at Bhimavaram in West Godavari district on Tuesday. Party state president Somu Veerraju presided over the meeting in which BJP leaders including union minister of state for medical and health Bharati Praveen Pawar, party national secretary Sunil Deodhar, state general secretary Madhav and Rajya Sabha members C.M. Ramesh and G.V.L. Narasimha Rao participated.

Muralidharan said Andhra Pradesh has a glorious history of giving birth to great freedom fighters who fought selflessly for freedom of the country. But now, family-run parties are ruining the future of the state. “People must be rescued from the clutches of these parties by forming a double engine government in Andhra Pradesh,” he remarked.

The union minister maintained that there is no point in re-electing one discarded family party (TD) in place of the present family-run party (YSRC). “People with nationalist ideals must choose the third alternative of BJP with nationalist fervour,” he observed.

Muralidharan said the world is now looking forward to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as head of G-20, who has proven his efficiency within India by facing and preventing the Covid-19 pandemic.

BJP state president Veerraju said their party will organise its “Praja Poru” programme from March 10 to March 31 at 8,000 places within Andhra Pradesh, highlighting the failures of ruling and opposition parties of the state and the way central government is helping Andhra Pradesh.

Veerraju underlined that all previous governments that had led India had laid 4,000 kilometres of National Highways. But the BJP government alone at the centre has formed additional 4,000 kilometres of national highways within its eight years of rule.
