Lucknow: Ending months of speculation, the Congress, on Tuesday, finally confirmed that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will be campaigning in the UP assembly elections. Ms Vadra’s name figures in the list of star campaigners released on Tuesday.
Congress sources, however, refused to say whether Ms Vadra would campaign across the state or confine herself to Rae Bareli and Amethi, the parliamentary constituencies of her mother Sonia Gandhi and brother Rahul Gandhi. She has been campaigning in these two constituencies for the last several years and is closely connected with the local people. Congress leaders said that she could step out of the family borough and campaign on some A-list seats along with Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
