Chennai: Taking strong exception to the "infiltration" of anti social elements in the peaceful protest by students on Marina, here, Union minister of state for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan has demanded the government to order an inquiry by judicial commission into Monday’s violent incidents.
Without going into the details, the Minister urged the government “to constitute a judicial commission to enquire into the incidents leading to violence during the protest by students and expose the truth.”
“The violence was unleashed intentionally. Those who infiltrated into the students agitators didn’t want jallikattu but wanted to create chaos in the state,” says K.T. Raghavan, BJP State secretary. “They were shocked when Prime Minister Narendra Modi paved way for the jallikattu ordinance within 24 hours. They did not expect this,” he said.
