Bus Yatra and Mass Outreach Programmes Strengthening' YSRC, Say Party Leaders

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s idea of strengthening the YSRC from grassroots level through a series of party programmes is claimed to be making significant strides across the state.

Elections only five months away, the ruling party has intensified its efforts to woo the people through the Samajika Sadhikara Bus Yatra and advance the 'social empowerment' agenda before the polls. The party meetings are drawing crowds across various Assembly constituencies.
YSRC leaders mainly from the SC, ST, BC and minority sections have succeeded in mobilising crowds for the bus yatra rallies and public meetings. They say this is helping the CM take the development and welfare agenda of his government to the grassroot levels and strengthen the party.

The ruling party leaders of the SC, ST, BC and minority communities are getting good exposure among the masses through the Bus Yatra. They are sharing the public meeting dais and also rubbing shoulders with top party leaders, sending the right signals to the disadvantaged sections of the society.

The Chief Minister’s fancy schemes like the Maa Nammakam Nuvve Jagan, the Jaganannaku Chebudam, the Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam, the Jagananna Suraksha and Jagananna Aarogya Raksha took government administration to the doorsteps of the masses. This created goodwill for the party and its government.

Further, the Bus Yatra in the past 20 days rejuvenated the confidence of the party’s rank and file. The crowds are increasing at every meeting.

The aim of YSRC is to take the Bus Yatra to all the 175 Assembly segments in order to consolidate the support of the SCs, STs, BCs and minorities to the party in the 2024 elections.

YSRC leaders including ministers Jogi Ramesh and Venugopalakrishna and MLA Malladi Vishnu said the Bus Yatra has created a good impact among the marginalised and backward segments of the society, forming 75 per cent of AP’s population.

They say the Bus Yatra campaign not only pulls in diverse crowds but also serves as a platform to showcase Jagan Mohan Reddy’s dedication to the cause of uplift of the disadvantaged segments of the population. This will have a positive impact on the YSRC’s electoral prospects in 2024, they stress.
