State decision unfortunate, says Kummanam Rajasekharan
Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan has criticised the state government decision to cancel the visit of the all-party delegation to New Delhi.
Terming it ‘unfortunate,’ he said the reason stated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to cancel the trip was ‘unnatural.’
Earlier, a BJP delegation from Kerala comprising Mr Kummanam and former presidents P. K. Krishnadas and V. Muraleedharan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday.
“The CM should reveal why the delegation does not want to meet Mr Arun Jaitley,” said Mr Kummanam.
BJP state general secretary M. T. Ramesh rallied behind Mr Modi saying demonetisation was not limited to Kerala alone. “The issue is spread across the country and measures have already been taken to sort it out,” he said and alleged that the all-party delegation wanted to tarnish the image of the BJP.
“The BJP will oppose the two political fronts on the demonetisation issue. They have no monopoly over the people’s rights in Kerala,” he said.
