Vijayawada: Open challenges and equally aggressive counters are heating up politics in the state as YSR Congress and opposition Telugu Desam leaders have launched a virulent no-holds-barred verbal war. YSRC leaders have dared TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu to use the derogatory language TD leaders have used against Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy against BJP leaders during his Delhi tour that begins on Monday.
Naidu is leading an 18-member team to Delhi to expose YSRC instigated violence and breakdown of law and order on Monday and Tuesday.
During the 36-hour deeksha protest in the TD central office, all leaders including Naidu and N Lokesh criticised the YSRC government and termed Jagan Mohan Reddy as a ‘psycho CM’. They said that TD has 70 lakh dedicated activists but they are showing patience as Naidu has asked them not to retaliate.
YSRC leader and government adviser Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that Naidu was responsible for people’s outrage. He said that TD leader Pattabhi Ram’s foul language was a deliberate attempt initiated by Naidu and clarified that there will be a reaction from every person who admires the Chief Minister and his good governance.
Minister for agriculture Kurasala Kannababu and MLA Ambati Rambabu questioned whether Naidu was supporting the remarks made by Pattabhi Ram. They challenged Naidu to deride Pattabhi Ram because his remarks were in bad taste. Many YSRC leaders have strongly condemned the foul-mouthed TD leaders and asked them to mind their language or face the consequences when people start venting their ire.
