BENGALURU: Taking a serious exception to the Congress party’s Paycm poster campaign in Bengaluru city accusing Bharatiya Janata Party and him of corruption, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday hit out at the Congress party leaders saying that the leaders saying that they were indulging in "dirty" politics and the dream of the party to capture power in the State by indulging in such “dirty” politics would not work in the State.

The State will be going for Assembly polls in April/May next year.

Congress party launched a poster campaign against ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the Chief Minister in particular by inserting his pictures in posters with QR code with tagline Paycm alleging commission on appointments to various posts and carrying out works.

Posters of the campaign were pasted in various parts of Bengaluru city including on Race Course Road where CM’s residence is located. The campaign began on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters in Chitradurga on the poster campaign, the Chief Minister, said “It shows the declining moral values of the Congress party.”

He stated that any issues should be through direct talks, documents must be submitted and an investigation should be held over it but, the Congress party is indulging in acts to “tarnish’ the image and are trying “desperately” to capture power in the State.

Bommai added that Congress legislators attend Assembly sessions without preparation on the subject to be raised on the floor. Besides, the Congress leaders lack commitment for the people and indulge only in “dirty” politics.

Regarding the survey predictions that BJP would only bag about 95 to 100 falling short of majority in the State, Bommai said that “We know the pulse of the people and have experience of being in politics” and expressed confidence that BJP would retain power in the State.
