Puducherry: The confrontation between Lt Governor Kiran Bedi and Chief Minister V. Narayananasamy has been getting worse by the day with the CM launching a scathing attack on her on Saturday.
The Chief Minister warned the Lt Governor that he would file a defamation case against her for raising baseless allegations against the government on medical admission row and for allegedly instigating officials to make false statements against him, his cabinet colleagues and the chief secretary.
The Chief Minister said she (Ms Bedi) does not have the competence to hold the gubernatorial post any longer.
Meanwhile, the Lt Governor said that the Chief Minister is rattled and embarrassed. She said the registration of a case by the CBI and raids conducted prior to the lodging of the FIR is an indication that there is a prima facie case.
People of Puducherry are interested in justice and not intimidation, said Ms Bedi in her WhatsApp message.
