DMK devising strategies to capture power: Pon Radhakrishnan

Radhakrishnan said the DMK leader was resorting to one strategy after the other in a bid to capture power through back doors.

Chennai: Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan took a dig at the DMK saying the party is eternally engaged in devising strategies to capture power through back doors.

Reacting to the DMK working president MK Stalin insisting upon the Edappadi Palaniswami government to prove its majority in the Assembly, Mr. Radhakrishnan said the DMK leader was resorting to one strategy after the other in a bid to capture power through back doors. But it is unlikely that he would succeed, the Minister hinted.

Mr Radhakrishnan also flayed the DMK for opposing the establishment of the Navodaya Schools in the state and said, “the private schools that did not encourage Tamil should be closed if Navodaya schools can’t be allowed in TN.”
Meanwhile, BJP state president Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has urged the State government to issue a clarification on the assertion of Forest Minister Dindigul C. Sreenivasan that none of the Ministers were allowed to see late Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa when she was undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospitals here and that they were “forced to lie about her condition.”

“This should be explained through an enquiry commission,” she told reporters here on Saturday. Asked if she had visited the late CM in the hospital, Dr. Tamilisai replied, “it was the same plight for us too.”
