NELLORE: Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu will flag off a new Intercity Express between Gudur and Vijayawada from Gudur Railway Station on Sunday at 10.30 am. Railway minister Piyush Goyal will also take part in the programme.
According to Railway officials, Train Number 12743 Gudur-Vijayawada Intercity Express will depart from Gudur at 6.10 am on August 26 and arrive at Vijayawada at 10.40 am on the same day.
In the return direction, Train No. 12744 Vijayawada-Gudur Intercity Express will depart from Vijayawada at 6 pm on August 26 and arrive at Gudur at 10.30 pm on the same day.
En route, this train will stop at Nellore, Kavali, Singarayakonda, Ongole, Chirala, Bapatla and Tenali stations.
Meanwhile, the Vice President will be reaching Nellore on Saturday afternoon. He will inspect the longest electrified railway tunnel on the new railway line between Krishnapatnam – Obulavaripalle in the evening. The Vice President will return to Nellore for night stay.
