Verdict has proven that case was politically motivated: Sitaram Yechury

Thiruvananthapuram: CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury welcomed the High Court verdict exonerating chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the SNC Lavalin case.

Reacting to the judgement, he said the CPM had already made it clear that it was a politically motivated case and the party would fight it politically and legally. It has now been proven legally that the case was wrong.

The HC verdict is also a vindication of the CPM central committee decision that the allegations are baseless.
