KSU unit chief dismisses ‘Sanghi’ charges
Thiruvananthapuram: Amal Chandra, president of the newly-formed unit committee of the KSU at the University College, has dismissed the allegations raised by his rivals that he is a 'Sanghi.'
They levelled their charge on the Facebook citing that he had congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the new union minister of state for external affairs V. Muraleedharan. But he said he had also congratulated Pinarayi Vijayan when he took over as chief minister, and wished V.S. Achuthanandan on his birthday through Facebook.
He had also criticised Modi in his FB post saying that he should put his words into action, he said.
"I have been very critical of the Sangh Parivar in the Facebook," he pointed out.
He has worked with the IT cell of the NSU during elections and his family belonged to the Congress party, he said.
He added that his rivals were afraid of him as he was very popular in the college and active in extracurricular activities.
He has taken part in the course offered by the Centre for Parliamentary Studies and Training of the legislature secretariat and also participated in the youth parliament, said Chandra.
